Uploading Videos

Share your content with the world

  1. 1.Click the upload icon in the top navigation bar
  2. 2.Select a video file from your device (MP4, WebM, MOV supported)
  3. 3.Add a title and description to help viewers find your content
  4. 4.Optionally upload a custom thumbnail image (PNG, JPEG, or WebP)
  5. 5.Choose your video's visibility: Public, Unlisted, or Private
  6. 6.Click Publish to make your video live

Finding Videos

Discover content across RetroTube

  1. 1.Use the search bar at the top to find videos by keyword
  2. 2.Browse the Home page for the latest uploads
  3. 3.Visit the Trending page to see what's popular
  4. 4.Filter by category using the chips at the top of the Home page
  5. 5.Click on a channel name to see all their uploads

Subscribing to Channels

Stay updated with your favorite creators

  1. 1.Visit a channel's page by clicking their name under any video
  2. 2.Click the red Subscribe button
  3. 3.Enable the bell icon to get notified of new uploads
  4. 4.Find all your subscriptions in the Subscriptions feed
  5. 5.You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking Subscribed again

Commenting & Engaging

Join the conversation

  1. 1.Scroll to the comments section below any video
  2. 2.Type your comment and press Enter or click Comment
  3. 3.Like or dislike comments by clicking the thumbs up/down icons
  4. 4.Reply to comments to start a thread
  5. 5.Edit or delete your own comments using the three-dot menu

Reporting Content

Help keep RetroTube safe

  1. 1.Click the three-dot menu next to a video, comment, or channel
  2. 2.Select Report from the dropdown menu
  3. 3.Choose a reason that best describes the issue
  4. 4.Add optional details to help moderators understand the problem
  5. 5.Submit the report — our team will review it promptly

Embedding on Your Website

Share RetroTube videos outside the platform

  1. 1.RetroTube blocks iframe embedding for security — use the official RetroTube HTML player instead
  2. 2.Go to the 'Embed a video on your website' section below and copy the HTML snippet
  3. 3.Paste the snippet anywhere in your website's HTML where you want the player to appear
  4. 4.The player automatically loads the video's title, channel, thumbnail and video file — no extra files or plugins needed

Managing Your Channel

Customize your presence on RetroTube

  1. 1.Visit your Profile page to update your username and avatar
  2. 2.Upload a banner image to personalize your channel page
  3. 3.Go to Studio to manage your uploaded videos
  4. 4.Edit video titles, descriptions, and visibility from Studio
  5. 5.Delete videos you no longer want published

Embed a video on your website

For security reasons, RetroTube videos cannot be embedded in an iframe. Instead, use the official RetroTube HTML player below — it renders the same custom RetroTube player used on the site, complete with the red progress bar and RetroTube controls. Copy this snippet and paste it into your website's HTML:

To embed a different video, replace the video ID — the part after ?v= in your video's watch link — with your own. The player automatically loads the video's title, channel, thumbnail and video file.
